In-Network vs. Out-of-Network Veterinarian

In-Network vs. Out-of-Network Veterinarian

If you still have questions after reviewing the information below, contact our Carson&Bear™ Customer Support here.

What does it mean for my veterinarian to be In-Network vs. Out-of-Network?

Carson&Bear partners with thousands of veterinarians to provide your dogs with the best care possible, creating a network of resources for you. An In-Network Veterinarian is one that is an official partner of Carson&Bear, and has access to our team for support in the care of your furry friend, including specialized nutrition plans for your dog’s breed. Every year, you get a free second annual visit when you use one of our In-Network Partner Veterinarians, to ensure that your dog’s health is on track.

An Out-of-Network provider is one that is not a member of our Service Provider Network. They will not have access to our team for support and your second annual visit will not be covered. However, in order to maintain eligibility for the Lifetime Promise Guarantee, you will need to send documentation to Carson&Bear to confirm the second visit occurred.

In order to receive all the benefits of your membership, we highly encourage you use our In-Network providers for your twice-yearly checkups.

How do I find out if my Veterinarian is In-Network or not?

You can search our VSP provider network online at <insert link>

Can I still use a veterinarian if they are Out-of-Network?

You can use an Out-of-Network provider, but your second annual visit will not be covered by the program and you would be responsible for any and all out of pocket costs. In order to maintain eligibility for the Lifetime Promise Guarantee, you will need to send documentation to Carson&Bear to confirm the second visit occurred.

If your dog is experiencing a medical emergency, please take them to the nearest veterinary provider. Please remember that the Carson&Bear Wellness program doesn’t cover care beyond the second annual visit each year.

Can I help my veterinarian get into the Carson&Bear Network?

Certainly! You can send them to our website to learn more about the program. They can visit <insert link> for more details about all the benefits we offer them (and you!) and speak to our crew about joining Carson&Bear’s VSP network.
